Sign up as a Reconciling Lutheran
• Reconciling Lutherans is to individuals what RIC is to congregations: it is an affirmation of welcome. Whether you are a member of an RIC congregation or not, it is important for your voice to be heard as a Reconciling Lutheran.

Make a prayer shawl
• After the tremendous success of the rainbow scarves at Churchwide Assembly 2007, this year Goodsoil is hosting "A Rainbow of Prayer" to collect volunteer-made prayer shawls.
• You can knit, crochet, or quilt your own solid-color prayer shawl. Patterns, directions, and more information here.

Attend your synod assembly
• Even if you are not a voting member, you can influence the process by gracefully engaging with the voting members.
• Contact your Regional Coordinator or Tim Fisher (timf@lcna.org) to find out how to get connected within your synod.

Make plans to be present at the ELCA Churchwide Assembly, August 17-23, 2009 in Minneapolis
• Your presence is vital. Make plans now to spend part or all of the week with Goodsoil.
• When should you attend? Make plans around these events:

· Graceful engagement training everyday from August 17-20

· Goodsoil Worship is Wednesday, August 19 at 7:30 PM at Central Lutheran Church, right across the street from the Convention Center

· Votes related to the Sexuality Statement and rostering recommendations are likely to come up in the latter half of the week

· Goodsoil Celebration Saturday, August 22 at 7:00 in Goodsoil Central
